B.A.L.D. is a new jewelry line created by the sister team of Aria Nero-Seder and Deirdre Nero. The sisters are from Miami, FL and have created this line as a way to empower women who are struggling with medical hair loss, especially due to conditions like Alopecia Areata and cancer treatments.
The acronym B.A.L.D. stands for Bad Ass Lawyer & Designer… and represents the sisters themselves. Deirdre Nero, is an immigration lawyer and owner of NERO Immigration Law, P.L. and Aria Nero-Seder, is a jewelry designer and owner of Aria Nero Jewelry. Together they have combined the left-brain and the right-brain to develop B.A.L.D. and its line of eye-catching earrings.
The B.A.L.D. jewelry line is centered around empowering women to be bald and beautiful by using outrageous earrings to accentuate a bald woman's look and make her feel pretty, sexy, and bold. However the earrings are so gorgeous and unique that all women will want to wear them- hair or no hair!
Deirdre, who is now 37 years old, was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata 14 years ago and today is totally bald as the hair loss suffered from Alopecia Areata has caused her to lose not only all the hair on her head, but her entire body (Alopecia Universalis).
Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune disease resulting in the loss of hair on the scalp and elsewhere on the body. It usually starts with one or more small, round, smooth patches on the scalp and can progress to total scalp hair loss (Alopecia Totalis) or complete body hair loss (Alopecia Universalis). Alopecia Areata affects approximately 2% of the population overall, including more than 5 million people in the United States alone. It is highly unpredictable and cyclical. Hair can grow back in or fall out again at any time.
